G’day,

Last weekend my wife and I had a night away without our beautiful daughters. When we arrived at the Spa Hotel, we were presented with these two bears. The hotel staff explained that as our girls were (probably) going to miss us, this was just a little something to surprise them with when we got home. Nice touch!

So question for the all you business owners out there…who sends their customers anything other than an invoice on a regular basis?

One of the simplest ways to get a customer to come back is to send a “thank you” note, a small gift, a newsletter, an offer or an invitation to a special event.

So think about where most of your marketing spend is going. Is the majority of your marketing budget being spent on generating new leads but neglecting marketing to your existing customers who already love what you do?

Remember is it 6 times more costly to generate revenue from a new customer rather than an existing one, so think about what initiatives you could introduce to convert your customers into “raving fans” and keep them coming back.

And yes before we left the hotel, we booked to return for another weekend in March…
